I built a fictional meat stall modeled after Chinese wet markets to sell sculpted body parts in NYC, presented at: Brooklyn Academy of Music, Accent Sister, Beverly’s, Elsewhere, Mood Ring.
I transported a bucket of Atlantic Ocean water from New York to San Francisco, to write water calligraphy with Chinese elderlyon ground in SF Chinatown.
When I was 17 and in love we went to the Jialing river on a warm winter afternoon and watched water together. I modeled that day’s river into translucent 3d relief, then projected the same river, filmed 10 years later, back onto it.
I performed as Lily from Duolingo. Lily holds both American passport and a Shanghai ID, and teach peasants how to say love like city people does. Performed at Center of Performance Research, Brooklyn, and NYU Tandon ITP, Brooklyn.
